    The future of 3D printing is not in gimmicks/figurines but in printing metal parts. Things like valves, car parts, mining equipment, etc.
    Printing in plastics/polymers is ok for hobbyists but I don't think it will translate into commercial production and massive profits. Metal printing has traditionally been too slow for commercial applications but things are changing fairly rapidly.
