I appreciate your thoughts !

I can think of several things they could do to ensure aldi doesn't continue to win market share

1. make the petrol discount scheme more pronimant, and use that in advertising ....
2. lock up suppliers on fresh foods (so that aldi has more trouble in its supply chain)
3. emphasis "range" and quality versis home brand ......
4. at cetain store locations - do a direct competition with Aldi (ie basics only, homebrand types and show they can lower Aldi's margins)....
5. promote via TV cokking type shows (al la coles).....


anyways - I believe it will take soime time for management to address the issues. I shall wait patiently, and wait till they come out with their response strategy. if they do a 1/2 hearted effort - the stock will continue to struggle.....I truly hope that both WES and WOW "get it" right .....
