Vlad, I respect your comments but I think the last couple are going off the rails.

1. IF (and I do really mean it and like many I dream) that it does work as they suggest - nobody has heard what even the muffled unfinished chip sounds like, this is revolutionary ( I think we should all agree on this)

2. as a number of you indicate, why would you continue to build a CRT screen (type speaker) when you can have a FLAT LED (new tiny, energy efficient than can run on battery power)........ The old will become fashion items like Cannon SLR film cameras but only for a small time and to the minority. We are a throw away society.

3. Every 20 year old who has no money will spend what they have on one thing - that is the newest phone that can be used as a boom box..... remember this is what was promised. Whether it is reality is a different thing.

4. Then we get to directional sound, this is also a game changer (IF it can do this). If the chips cost $20 a chip initially (this is not even a guess just a random number), would you pay $500 more for a TV that has 5 chips that can direct sound whilst being able to get rid of the blood sound bar and surround sound cluttering your TV cabinet. I would.

IF (and as I say if), it actually can do 80% of what they say..... They are not selling the tech for $2bill, or as Fred says not selling under $10B but imagine the range of products apple could build in 3 years around this chip....... $10bill is a drop for them to invest (they invest $14bill a year into R&D...https://appleinsider.com/articles/18/08/01/apples-rd-spend-continues-to-climb-but-isnt-directly-correlated-to-anything

Anyway back to dreaming. I think we will probably have to wait till march (or even the AGM - April) when they have the new wafers/tested and packaged..... I think by then we will know what direction we are heading in, either very North or Very south.
