Solar Energy and other renewables was part of the reason we are in this hole. Government pumped a lot of money into making sure wind farms got built and to make sure they made money the Weatheril Govt not just shut Port Augusta coal power station but IMMEDIATELY paid for it to be demolished to MAKE SURE it was never fired-up again. Hence, why we have the Leigh Creek Energy project - that coal was what fired-up 30% of the states base load power.
Most expensive power in Australia - Industry doesn't like that - less industry less jobs, less money.
