Thanks for the insights @TechWreck , greats points to mull over for a part time observer such as myself still trying to guess how the next few months are going to play out...

Trump's election was meant to boost POG, instead it crashed. If right wing parties do take government in Europe and take on isolationist stances (like Trump), will POG react any differently I wonder? Or will the central banks use it as an opportunity to pump it and then short it? After riding some crazy fluctuations, making and losing money on gold miners (the latter affecting my confidence), I am now 'buyer beware' because I learnt the hard way nothing is a sure bet. Of course this also means that lately I have not seized opportunities as they presented and missed out on those too . Two way street. I will be watching closely to pick some more shares up if we drop more.
