PE is quoted by AspectHuntley @ 2.9 Average Annual PE.
Fairfax quote the PE as of today 2.17. So I assume thats on last years figures. I use these as a rule of thumb when flicking through stocks. Relative PE is quoted at around 19 which maybe what your refering to. I would imagine there would be a lot of guess work in determining future PE for a company like DES. (If there is a any other company like Des?)
Agree that concerns exist regarding big name movies, I beleive Magna recognised this back in 2006 and began expanding into children and special interest titles. I'm sure DES went in with open eyes and a plan, and as Lionsgate so desperately wanted Magna as well, it strengthed that belief. I guess we will see how that plan is going on the 28th of FEB. For now I'd be happy if (MPG) kicks in around 6 million to the DES EBITDA,. although it's DES's overall growth I seek most.
