Newcomputer you are not alone. I talk reguarly with dealers at CFD brokerages/providers. The carnage amongst retail investors who have geared at anything between 3:1 and 50:1 is incredible. Thousands of ordinary folk have had their life savings extinguished in the past few months. The government/ATO are in denial about it. These losses when offst against people's income will see a huge dent in the budget. I doubt we will have a budget surplus in FY09 and doubt we ill have a surplus anytime during next 5 years....... maybe much longer.
