Just posted this on the BPT threads and it applies equally to DLS.
Probably worthwhile continplating the future now that we have an 'old kid on the block' in Stokes who will undoubtedly start throwing his weight around.
Would like to generate some interest and discussion here.
Have you read the posts above? At least I am gloomy because the MD here is no match for Stokes at 7. I'm not the only one.
7 does takeovers on the cheap. Gradual accumulation, get a Board seat, then seats, then buy backs. Before you know it, 7 has control with no premium paid.

So you think that Stokes is the 'smartest guy in the room' which means you must think that everyone else involved must be as dumb as.
Stokes has pushed up as far as he can before he has to make a move and sure he now has influence and will most likely get a seat at the table but he still has to convince the other 80.1% that there is no upside from here in the oil space. He has to negotiate/manipulate lower prices because he cannot accumulate anymore and I don't think that the instos, other shareholders and moreover, the board are just going to rollover that easily and have their tummies rubbed while Stokes says give me all of your shares for a biscuit.
You suggest Stokes is a shrewd business man (and he is I'm sure) and his purchases/accumulation thus far at circa $1.20, which must be a good buy in price, Stokes being shrewd chap and all, is something that only Stokes can possibly benefit from and that BPT (DLS as well) shareholders should just cede their position and accept this price or lower because we cannot possibly see anymore upside from here. Why??......because we are not worthy????....not shrewd enough????....not the smartest people in the room????
With what money will BPT do a buy back. Can Stokes use the CR that SWM just approved to facilitate a T/O?
There is a bit to go in this but one thing for sure a premium will need to be paid.
Cheers
