Read a detailed US report on all its flaws some time back. One flaw that was structural in nature cracked me up. A test pilot was ordered to do maximum acceleration testing at altitude with full throttle and afterburn, which he did, and in the process severely scorched the elevators.

Instructions were then given NOT to try for maximum acceleration at any cost. Wonder if they've sorted that yet?
