Hmm that's interesting. This is under the new SMRA model correct? Can you advise what industry these companies that received certification are from?
When I try to rationalise the whole situation, I think we are fairly safe. From what I have read, the difficulty in obtaining CFDA is primarily the time length. Certification in itself does not appear to be an issue and the approval rate is very high. I have only seen things such as a French company being rejected due to having a salmonella outbreak. Certainly it can be delayed (in the case of BAL) but rejection doesn't seem to be a concern. I believe WHA has done it's due diligence and a CDFA setback is extremely low risk. I hope the SMRA guys are as lenient as CFDA and the change is merely cosmetic.
