    Hi Rubygirl

the oppies were owned indirectly so assume through Westgold. The merger/takeover spec has been floated around here for a while especially with SLR as they are operating but have limited minelife from what I can gather. AAG is relatively close and could supplement feed in a few years. AAG has unfortunately so far failed to come up with enough open pitable reserves, most of the stuff is deep although very good grade which means a plant may be some time off.

RMS is also in the region at Mt Magnet and could be eying off other players in the area although probably ave there hands full at the moment. Can't say that I know if any others with advanced projects, DRM is getting good hits but they are definitely still in the little league despite the shareprice being where it is (a function and advantage of a tight capital structure I guess)

Also with respect to the original float Westgold and Metals X are and were involved and collectively hold a lot of the company. Not really sure why they would want to reabsorb AAG as either one haven't got cashflow yet although Westgold is developing the Rover field in the NT and might be getting close (haven;t followed them closely). And finally, Mr Cook is involved in all three companies, WGR and AAG share the same office, not sure about Metals X.

    Good luck.
