I agree, the feed in tariff in medium term needs to be somewhat higher than the price of kW from the grid.

The recent NSW moves, first offering 60c -far too generous and secondly cutting it down to 20c which is less than grid kW were stupid moves that confirmed in my mind that the NSW government is incompetent and I will vote accordingly come next elections.

40c looks like a value that most commentators seem to agree on and together with some government subsidy on installation and the a warm feeling that one does something for the planet and you get the Goldilocks combination - just right.
