I think you should relax. I think it's a good deal for Seven shareholders and i also believe that Seven shareholders will benefit in the longer term. Kerry Stokes is no dill.

I was however surprised to hear that during the 22 Feb Seven Network Ltd Investor Presentation about 1 minute in, Peter Gammell Managing Director of Seven was asked about competitors and his reply was basically the customers.

So basically he is telling everyone who cares to listen, that Westrac will go their merry way and keep selling and renting Caterpillar with no fixed contract with CATERPILLAR INC. Now that seriously is ridiculous and not the way Kerry Stokes operates.

There are companies out there and one does spring to mind that sell, service and rent/hire very large mining machinery to major mining companies.

Now didn't Stokes and Carlyle Group take care of Coates Hire a couple of years ago at a very nice price for Coates shareholders?
