When the company started to produce a few years ago its philosophy was to finance
exploration from revenue and not from CRs. Its proven resource then was , from memory,
about half of what it is now and I assume that its philosophy has not changed in the interim
Way Linggo tenement is in highly prospective area with the potential for other mines.
Also you have to bear in mind that KRM is a narrow vein gold miner which means that
the veins are narrow and potentially costly to JORC drill from the surface. Like Madusa, the most efficient
way of operating seems to be to essentially define the vein and then pursue it underground
rather than qualify it via JORC drilling from the surface.
Also keep in mind that KRM only has to move 400 ton of ore a day @ 12 g/t AU while
open pit miners have to move up to 15 times that (1.2 g/ton + 6:1 overburden to achieve
the same physical result. Then add the extra costs of overburden removal and the
extra costs of mining, crushing, grinding and processing the extra ore and you'll
get an idea of the efficiency of UG narrow vein mining versus that of open pit.
The downside for those who are risk averse, however, is that with narrow vein UG mining
it is costly to qualify the resource in advance; hence the strategy of drilling as required rather than the more expensive JORC drilling.
So my advice to you is to simply study the tenement, the history of the company
in this area and the economic features, benefits and risks of narrow vein versus conventional
gold mining to ascertain if KRM is the type of investment that meets your investment
profile and appetite for risk and you are the only person who can ultimately make that decision.
All of this is IMO only.
