For that to be possible you'd need to make the assumption that fuel supply is also unlimited. There's probably a range of influential factors that govern fuel supply: resource availability & mining acquisition, manufacturing considerations, market demand & supply prices, fuel sale restrictions (trade embargo), territorial disputes etc.

I'm quite optimistic that during the next 100 years there'll be new energy tech that will offset any need for fossil fuels, nuclear fission, as well as hydro, solar & wind (in their present forms).
