JV, day trading certainly doesn't interest me. I guess making 10-20% each time on short term trades adds up but trading is more the bigger mkt cap companies imo.
I get enjoyment from finding companies with good fundamentals in sectors that I like and then analysing the technicals to get the best possible entry. At the moment I think there are many extremely good buying opportunities starting to present themselves, CHN included. Then it's just a case of sitting back and monitoring it.
As for the goldies catching up with the gold price, I think a good indicator could be Newcrest. It looks to be undergoing a corective decline that, to my eye, could get down to around $37. However, once it breaks out above the declining trendline or recent high of $41.50 that will be the signal for the rest of the goldies. Just a thought.
Also, I have found an absolute cracker gold junior on the TSX with high grades and massive potential and the chart is setting up for an excellent buy. I'll wait until I'm set before revealing. I'll somehow link it into CHN so I don't get done with cross promoting!
