Malaga, you make a very good point about HC posters. But really, expecting regulators to keep anonymous posters honest or at least accountable is imo an unrealistic expectation. Remember these regulators are the same organisations that do little to enforce ASX listed companies to comply with disclosure regulations, if they can't ensure listed companies are compliant how would we expect them to keep anonymous posters compliant?

The recent appointment of administrators to RCR is a classic example where a company that is non-compliant with listing rules has cost investors millions - including institutional investors. The case earlier this year of BIG issuing completely mis-leading revenue figures in their 4C statements is another classic example. And there are many more examples. Where is the accountability of the executive officers and directors of such companies? What ever happens to them? Nothing as far as I'm aware.

Yes there is an argument to clean up troll behaviour but the much bigger fish to fry here are directors of companies that do not comply with regulatory disclosure requirements. Going after trolls rather than non-compliant company directors would be like the DEA going after the recreational drug user rather than the drug lords distributing drugs.

    Cheers, Sharks
