In 1979 Parker-1/ST1 "intersected over 200m of elevated mud shows within the Triassic reservoir section"
" the Winchester-1 well has been designed, inter alia, to test at least four potential target zones."
Progress Report 11 says
"Over the last week, the well penetrated the target Triassic interval higher than predicted and a number of sandstone reservoirs were encountered with gas shows, the significance of which is being assessed."
So "a number"of sandstone reservoirs have been encountered.
"In a separate sandstone interval, below the intervals where the gas shows were recorded, an over-pressured zone was encountered with gas and water influx into the well."
Pleasing to hear this, as it infers that the "number of sandstone reservoirs" encountered are dry?
What more to make of it I'm not sure. It's good news, no no bad news, but little information.
I guess that OXX can only make announcements based on what STO tell them.
