SPI Futures traded in a 45 point range last night, with a high of 6227, low of 6182 and a close this morning of 6198, up 10 points on high rollover volume of 43,687 contracts. June expiration closed at 6185. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels are below. Once the XJO closed yesterday and SPI became a futures contract again, and not a follower of the XJO, the elusive 6214 gap filled, leaving gaps above from last night at 6221, 6218, 6211 and 6209 which is also a two pointer so higher probability of filling. Last day for the March contract before tomorrows expiration, so she will more than likely want to clean those gaps up, but not holding my breath for the upper ones at 6271 and 6285. One gap from last night down at 6187. DOW down .10 pct after being up over 200 points, SNP down .01 pct and Canada (resource driven) down more at .39 pct. VIX up 3.51 pct to 13.56. US up, then down, mostly to do with US-China trade hopium deal which was reported as being on, then reported as being off - again. Ha. I just wonder if China is playing the old rope-a-dope with Trump, just waiting for him to be knocked out of the White House. Humm.
Today in 2012, Disney movie John Carter recorded one of the largest losses in cinema history with a $200 million dollar write down. With a total cost of $350 million it was one of the most expensive films ever made, but only grossed $284 million at the worldwife box office. Humm. Maybe if they had called it John Charter, or John the Charter, or even John the Chartist, it might have made more.. Humm. Looking at the picture, he would made a good futures trader. Run John, run. Have a nice day. Oh, and did the XJO thread really have 96,000 hits yesterday ? I don't think so..
