Your idea is more than odd. Do you really expect the directors would sell their stakes to this orangutan lover (like a deceased celebrity Low Tuck Kwong does not only have a weakness for apes but also owns a zoo) for a song after he has beaten down share price by deceiving them and thus has violated their honour?
I furthermore doubt M&G would sell anywhere below $2/share as their median buying quote is at least at this level, I believe.
