Came from a grant in VIC. Tested in 30 wards but before completed they commissioned for product last year in JUNE with immediate use in several hospitals
IOS based. Visual cues= speed + safety. Can book further services with patient and display their journey by literally keeping them in the picture.
Wall mounted version. Each therapist logs in as they treat by the bedside
Links in with hospitals best practice guidelines= clinical decision support eased
Infomedics market 56 bil by 2017. Mobile growth (their space) 7 bil now 23 bil by 17
All hospital depts add data to central system
Current e systems create more problems. Adds time burdens
Icon driven software. RDFID sensitive for log ins.
Patient treatment commences 1 hr earlier with Alcidion. Makes a huge difference in outcomes
Cash savings in tests ordered. In emergency depts 40% of tests ordered are never looked at ! Equals clinical risks- 18% of those unseen ones turn out to be critical.
Alcidion avoids this with centralised colour coded displays
Avoids paper manual checks for senior consultants= many hours a day
Nurses spend time making clinical assessments which is reduced with the Miya flow
Very high validation from clinical staff using the system
discharge parameter very visible so patient moves in a sound clinical fashion towards release
Outpatient management system too. Currently they are a huge workload- "a headache"
Australia provides far more services that are considered clinically required compared to O/seas peers
