    The comment was tongue in cheek.
    It seems absurd that RIO,BHP & FMG who
    argueably are together in the drivers seat of
    world IO supply cannot simply match supply
    to demand and maintain sustainable IO
    pricing.

    Instead, they continue to ramp up production
    and supply China with enough cheap IO to
    stockpile for years.

    It seems stupid for these mammoth producers
    to continue to play the free market game when
    their major customers are controlled by a centralist
    Chinese Communist Party who is obviously winning
    the pricing war.

    If the big three think that overproducing and knocking
    the ass out of price temporarily will get rid of their
    small local competition then they have another thing coming.
    Once the smallies get into difficulties, the Chinese will
    pick them up for a song and then crank up production further
    and we'll then see IO back at $30/ton, IMO.
