However, do you or other posters think it possible ERM might also be eyeing the further long term expansion of their generation business and 'monitoring' any Soleir progress with the panels?

ERM would provide the wherewithal for a significant plant in years to come, and the diversity of supply they could promote to users of the grid might be valuable as carbon constraints / incentives of some sort will become inevitable imo.

Like you though, I am waiting on ERM's need for more gas.
