I have to say I agree here - costs are not a problem, sales are. If sales were growing then the SP would be up at $1 even if AXP were making a loss.
None of us have anything really useful to suggest since none of us know why sales are flat. If it is just bad sales staff this can be easily fixed, if it is just the market is slow then this can be gritted out (after a CR), if it is just that the product doesn't appeal to the customer despite being better then there is nothing that can be done.
I have to say I agree here - costs are not a problem, sales are....
