What do you think are the "big roadblocks" preventing the technology being adapted? If they are so big, they must be obvious to you. What should be the uptake rate of a new technology product in an established market with large multinational incumbents? Specifically in the USA under their complex healthcare system?
Why do you think the product needs to be redeveloped to reduce costs? Do you know their COGS ? The margins aren't an issue, it's the sales volume that is the priority. It would be the stupidest decision they could make right now to redevelop the product to save 100 bucks a unit on their current or foreseeable volumes.
