The domininant species are human beings. To survive they need to live together and this includes tollerating different views and ideas,
The Chinese people learnt long ago the art of politeness is to be silent on dissenting views.
Freedom of expression is accepted only provided it is not contentious.
The guys in Paris earned their right to be killed. Of course it is sad but they were confrontable. That is not the way the world need to progress.
To progress we need to consider, and respect, oppoosing views, not matter how hard. We need to be silent when we disent.
Bottom line is that if wars are to be prevented we need to be tolerant of each others beliefs and not crtitizize them, The Paris guys had yet to learn this.
