I read on the Facebook page (Greenland minerals interest group) that the current battle ongoing is over the chemical processing onshore vs offshore.
Speculation that the Greenlanders want to have the chemical processing onshore to ensure the most jobs
and money for Greenland, however on the other hand they cannot accept the environment impact of an onshore chemical processing and there is not much that can be done to further reduce the impact. GGG’s proposal and entire business plan is based of course on doing the chemical processing in China.
Not sure how true this is so take with a pinch of salt, but may explain the current dropping in price. Not just the delayed translation.
Either way, Greenland want the mine, they just want the most value for the people (and rightly so), And hopefullly GGG has the ability to deliver an optimum solution for them (and of course us too)
