Hyro, the digital marketing agency, has created an online game for EMI that gives players the opportunity to save 40% off the music featured in the game if they guess the right track. Created using HTML5, the newest programming language for the internet, Way Out Wars can be played at a high speed and be used across multiple platforms including the latest browsers, explained Hyro?s head of digital Paul Gilbert. The game requires users to type in the name of the artist whose track they hear playing within 20 seconds. If the user collects enough points, they can purchase tracks featured in the game through the The In Song music store. The game took around three weeks to produce, excluding planning and concept creation.
