Not directly but may have some flow on effects, alot of larger companies are now looking for coal aquisitions e.g. RIO buying up RIV. Also from what i have been reading these floods could have a flow on effect on pricing for quite sometime alot longer than most thought. Alot of product was lost to this rain, moisture content in alot of exposed coal would now be in need further processing to get it to a suitable level. Also coal was already forcast to rise over the next few years due to increase in demand, this flooding event and lack of production has now compounds that effect, which will be seen in pricing in the future.
There is a chance this may slow proceedings but no dates have been set for the start of exploration by either WAL/CLR. So by the time they are ready im sure the ground will be dry and not imped any progress. GL to all holders
