My home with verandahs has over 350sqm of roof, a perimeter of over 70m. How do you propose I arrange it so that those downpipes, spread over that large area, go to a tank without going down and up again?

That's why I drained my pipes to tank very regularly, to flush out pollutants, etc., mainly just before rain.

Our tanks were about 20 metres away from all round verandah, so had to go underground too.
