Thanks mate that would work I need to do something like you have. Must admit though after getting the rat in my tank last year I bought this filter that goes under the sink called pirates twin under sink filter system. Has an ultra violet light as well as two filter systems ultra violet supposed to kill the bacteria. Cost app $500 plus app $100 for the plumber to fit. Maybe over the top but saved my marriage lol after the rat incident.
