He said hardwood is the go. I don't use my fireplace, just had it cleared of crap from previous owner use, he cleared a chlorine bucket of shite using a drill with segmental weed wacker type chimney sweeper. I'm on tanks and also am concerned as to ash ending up in roof then water supply. Would be interested to know if this is a known health hazard though. Being in Qld it doesn't really get cold enough to burn for warmth tbh.
