Had to revive the tank thread after yesterday. Water to the house stopped so I naturally thought better check the tank as we've only had app 20 ml rain this year compared to 300 ml same time last year and discovered that there was only about 200 ml water in tank.Anyway climbed inside to check the situation and guess what a rat floating in there.
Got rid of the rodent promptly went to Swans Plumbing and purchased a $500 filter unit that's supposed to filter everything. Wife went straight to town and bought 50 litres drinking water. Big day all round. I think the bugger got in through the overflow pipes which weren't sealed and flow straight into a paddock so I have put flap valves on those as well.
