Where the leaf diverter is, the grey water diverter valve goes, remains open for say 2 months,
whilst their is no rain. After it has rained for a while, (10 minutes ?) twist 90 degrees, and direct water from
gutter height, directly to tank. That sediment trap would allow larger rocks to be caught,
but there is no way known that sediment, suspended in fast flowing water, will 'fall out'.
Likewise, if the purge valve is higher than the outlet to tank, as the drawing shows, it will never empty.
Now at the far right, there is either a tank, that is 2 metres lower than the house,
or a 90 degree elbow and a pipe, lifting the water to just below gutter height, to fill the tank ?
Over complicated, unnecessary and an inefficient method.
Sediment is washing off the roof, so as soon as it starts to rain, it will be washed off.
Let it flow to ground for a few minutes, redirect the diverter valve to tank, and there will only be
clean, leafless water flowing into tank. So simples, and only $30
I honestly can't believe that you guys can't comprehend that.
