Ever seen what a fast flowing, flooded creek/river looks like?
Your sediment trap cannot work until such time as water virtually stops flowing.
Sorry to 'dampen' your day, but your silt trap cannot work with even moderate rainfall.
Once the slowed sediment hits the wet section it is no trouble at all to see how the sediment "falls" into the wet drain section.
The only time 'sediment' will fall out of the system is when water has stopped flowing.
As I said before, if your system worked, there would be no need for anyone to manufacture filters.
