I saw this Plough but on closer inspection the $500k/annum is the aggregate amount to be divided amongst non-exec directors and is to provide for the increased workload and additional non exec directors as the co. expands and lists on the HK stock exchange
(note two directors are currently on $30K/annum which is hardly excessive)
Even if they divided the full amount out amongst the current 4 non exec directors it would only be $125k each which much less than the salaries of many other smaller co's on the ASX that seem to do nothing.
In fact setting a max is probably a good thing it seems some companies seem to just keep randomly increasing directors salaries as they head down the gurglar
