gttrain- Metalduster is supposed to be one eyed patriotic, but you just proved he is only allowing his patriotic "parameters" slip, if it is US related.

now we know why he gets the proverbial 'bad taste in his mouth' when he did his only review of Aldi products a long time ago- but once was enough for this guy, as he seems to hate Germans incessantly.
i myself can't really comment about Aldi products , as i don't shop there.

the only problem with Aldi for me personally from past experiences, is i don't get reward points and petrol discounts and it is a bit awkward with credit card payment as they charge surcharge and the plastic bags i get from supermarkets are not provided-i use them for bin liners.
also- carting the trolley back up the ramp to get the $2 deposit is an absolute pain.

apart from that, they are great- they sell home brand product dressed up in fancy packaging and the price is the same as Woolies Select or Coles Smart brand.

as for the taste test- that is totally subjective. if you really think it should taste better then it certainly will.
