MASTERS is being bullied by gangs of angry customers and has called in back-up to help deal with the fallout of its fire sale.
Customers have been outraged by poorly discounted products and customer service, taking to Facebook to accuse staff of treating customers like thieves and liars.
Masters employees have been in the firing line and customers have not hesitated to hit out at them, causing ugly scenes in the big box retail stores, forcing the company to hire security guards to protect staff.
Masters stores are preparing to close its doors in December after the hardware store, a joint venture between Woolworths and Lowe’s, bled money.
The concept never worked. Stores were not sitting on prime sites and Australians did not warm to it. It was criticised for not having a clear vision and had the hardware like Bunnings, home decoration of Ikea and electronics like Harvey Norman.
It was a jack of all trades and a master of none.
An employee told SmartCompany aggressive customers were demanding better discounts and hurling abuse if they didn’t get their way.

Very poorly executed fire sale .........no wonder customers were angry. I went there expecting a bargain

and there was poor discounts or NO stock.........waste of time.
