    Hi Denbo,
Even though i sound pro-brexit sometimes i sort of am but also sort of not.  At the end of the day they are all Europeans including the poms and since the war they've always done things together, back in the day they were even able to cooperate and bypass or look past individual soverignty issues for the benefit of a common market for trade and growth of their economies so they all had better opportunities to rebuild, from memory it goes back as far as when the OECD was formed or perhaps a little before that.  The EU should cooperate a bit more imo as theres a few unhappy countries in the EU from what i can tell.

These days are different because we now have an EU parliment led by people that voters don't vote for and they no-longer value individual countries soverignty, the EU is slowly but surely taking away each EU countries right to or ability to run their own state of affairs outside of just common trade, its basically trying to govern each country itself, Greece's finances are an example, the recent mass imigration/invitation to migrants is another.  Even though some in the UK parliment may be no good, their hands are somewhat tied because of being in the EU and having to do what they want on certain things rather than an actual independant UK parliment.   The revolution needs to be at the EU rather than the UK to my mind.

The hard Brexiters in Parliment and other high profile places to my mind want the Brexit so they release any hold the EU pollies have on the UK, they want the freedom and power a country should have to manage it's own affairs entirely.  As Grumpy says most of Joe Public would have no idea if the NHS is funded, if the EU is ripping them off or whether the 800 page May deal is any good, they might believe some of those things because it's been written in some MSM somewhere but really they got no idea and when i say that just bear in mind ive worked for over 20yrs at joe public level as a butcher so i know how they think and what they understand. (generally speaking).
They understand things which effect them at ground level, things that are in their face and they can see everyday, they can see pressures on they lifestyles and pass times, they can see different cultures changing the British culture and living by their own 'religous' laws in parts , the EU's long arm, changes to school curriculums that teach kids boys can have periods for example which makes them worry about their kids, uncontrolled non-vetted immigration etc etc.  I think these are the reasons Joe Public voted Brexit, it's got little to do with them understanding the economy or voting for the best financial result, it's deeper than that imo.

I think if they had another vote the Brexit vote would come back stronger, but this is only my best guess.

I don't know what will happen though, i guess we'll have to wait and see but if Brexit actually happens theres going to be some pain over there in the UK, the EU will most likely try and make an example out of them imo in a bid to try and stop other countries wanting to exit although the EU will also hurt somewhat.

Anyway, obviously im still trying to understand it all but thats where im at, at the moment.
