Walt, Hanarahan writes this in 2004, why do ERG? The whole market is booming, why not get in on it? In my case I left work in 1998 and began doing the markets fulltime, I was so accustomed to just being at a keyboard each day, I put on a lot of weight, became quite unhealthy, it took a real motivation to get back into the workforce again. Basically I just held ERG in a hopeless situation, became incredibly delusional, went into a psychiatric ward several times. I finally bit the bullet, got back into the workforce and have a regular paypacket coming in now. (Work nightshift, so that handy to do the market during the day) I can assure you that if I had done that earlier, instead of procrasinating ERG would not have been in my considerations. I had dwindling capital--I liked BHP at 10 bucks unforunately the low was 8.30--I liked CPU at 2 bucks the low was 1.35!--Unemployed unsuccesful bottom picker! One thing I agree with you about, if you just have limited capital best to be a one stock person--for me that is Computershare. It shares this in common with ERG--both stocks bottomed the same day March 12th 2003--also the low for the S&P500-788.90--CPU at 1.35--ERG at 8.1c--CPU reconstructed itself as a company and went on to grow it;s business and become a success once more. ERG went into oblivion.--RG
