Not viable? Management has clearly stated through literature that they intend on being on the lower side of the cost curve compared to competitors. I’ve pointed you towards that literature on several occasions as you know.
Behind the timeline? With China controlling 85% of every aspect of RE extraction and product development why would a new source of Nd/Pr outside ‘the dragon’ be unwelcome to the US, Korea, Japan and Europe now that it use is actually increasing in demand and that the EV revolution is beginning? It’s actually geopolitically perfect timing, especially with the issues LYC has. Why is Japanese interest in this fiasco becoming heightened if its not a strategic issue for them?
I think Amanda is a good leader but this festering issue of waste management is simply a case of trying to ‘kick the can down the road’ and now someone built a brick wall in front of it. 450,000 tonnes! You’ve tried to sell it off as fertiliser, road base, what next? Your profitability is shot in the short to medium term - and you know it!
Nothing emotive about that buddy!
