No listed company engages in a capital raising for the purpose of allowing shareholders to buy cheap shares. A bizarre proposition. A capital raising costs the company cash. Cash we can ill afford to throw away on a grand gesture.

Listed companies have capital raisings because they need more capital. Its as simple as that. There is a number of reasons why some companies would need more capital. It may be to facilitate a significant event in a companies progress. Sadly in my observations it appears to be to remain solvent.

Unless you have credible inside information you are not making a lot of sense.

Capital raising equals capital required. I think that makes sense.
