UPDATE - I-99 Project, Pennsylvania

The Directors of Virotec International Ltd (Virotec) (ASX/AIM: VTI) provide the
following update to shareholders on the Interstate 99 project located at Skytop
Mountain, Pennsylvania.

The Company was asked by its client, the Pennsylvania Department of Transport,
to present a progress report on 20 October on the status of the project. The
Company believes that the results to date are very encouraging however cautions
that whilst the treatment is in the early stages it is not possible to draw a
final conclusion on the success of the treatment.

The results presented to the meeting show:-

- Well MW-46S at buttress/bifurcation shows most significant sign of treatment
(pH up from 2.3 to 6.5)
- Titratable acidity in wells MW-17 and MW-19 indicates treatment
- Water leaving limestone blanket was acidic prior to August 15, now alkaline
- Chemical analyses of water in monitoring wells shows decreasing iron
and aluminum

Virotec has also been involved in the pilot test treatment of a sedimentation
pond. The results of the treatment to date for this pond show:-

- Water that contacts the ViroMineTM reagent is treated.
- Iron concentrations decline by 90%
- pH increases from 3.8 to 7.2
- Sludge production is effectively eliminated
- The original engineering did not assure consistent effective contact with
contaminated water.
- Improved engineering will achieve discharge limits, eliminate requirement
for caustic treatment, and reduce need for sludge removal.
