Well I wonder what the "wonder" boys at Village ("Where movies live" and shareholders get screwed) are up to on the buyback of the prefs????

It has been well over 5 weeks since the announcement was made and according to it, the proposal was supposed to be released "in the next five weeks".....

I wonder if they are having trouble finding an "independent expert" that will take their money and say that the pref shareholders are getting "fair value" for the shares.......

Maybe they are having trouble find the funding or the cash for the initial payment.

But it looks like that the head honchos rewarded themselves quite well again last year with the Kirbys at around $1.6 and $1.7 million each and G. Burke actually getting over $1.7 - an increase of a couple of hundred thousand. They even mamanged to pay themselves bonuses for the "outstanding" performance of the company in ringing up a loss and costing pref shareholders millions.

I guess that it goes to show that pigs will feed no matter what.
