I don't see why retail investors should be mad at Bolton. Wouldn't you be blaming BCS and Macquarie for creating the garbage securities in the first place, and allowing such stock to trade with no regard for who buys it and how aware they are of their obligations? All Bolton did was give them a possible exit only to take it away again, leaving retail investors in exactly the same position they were in before anyone had ever heard of Nick Bolton.

Ultimately, BCS and Macquarie built their sandcastle to close to the ocean and should share the blame when the first wave comes in and wipes it out.
