I can see 60 minutes, today tonight, etc interviewing the mums and dads after this saga and totally trashing Bolton's image.

But I wonder- why did Leighton's not go to Jim Byrne and buy out his stake instead for less money - pit them against each other to bargain down the price of the stake. Leighton only needs on of those guys' stake, and whoever doesn't sell is left holding a bomb.

Did Byrne refuse an offer from leighton?

If he did then I can imagine Bolton's just made a lifelong enemy out of Byrne..
