Dont worry, a week is a long time in Politics. Electric/gas bills will not go away and only keep getting worse if nothing is done. Victoria being cold half of the year, reports of pensioners and others using candles, people are really hurting but you wont see it in the official figures as would you want to tell others your plight?
Even if Mathews gets back maybe with a hung parliament, the SC decision pending will be at least some win for us just on the permits claims and compensation? and rights to drill partially? lots of ifs and lots for the judges to consider and balance the "scales of justice"
This Ban will be lifted one way or another even if some force from Canberra or even the other Lab states? to lift it- funnier things have happened!. So lakes just has to hang on. Its winter now in Victoria, and miserable but all cycles end and like the housing boom ending which will turn into a horrible neg for many investors soon, (mathematically) the neg we have in the Ban, will turn into a Pos; its just not knowing how it will occur soon or later it can only get better....
We are the only state with a Ban, it is totally illogical and way out silly and extreme so these things always right themselves in a democratic society just the same as alternative energy is finally being shown NOT to have quite the costs and output claims it promises and Turnbul may be winning that battle to get back some mix of coal and alt energy till alts can really be cheaper and supply base load as well as our friend carbon!!
