The fact this is low value thermal coal being exported into the largest thermal coal producing region in the world - Inner Mongolian province of China - is being missed.

I would like to see the assumptions used to get the 1billion dollar + profit mentioned on the other threads. I doubt whether BHP's premium met coal mines do much better than that!

This said, yes large resource and cheap mining. perhaps dollars to be made but this is by no means 'low risk' imo
