Vodafone Hutchison Australia has recorded its first mobile subscriber growth in two years as part of the ­company’s turnaround strategy, just weeks before the appointment of a new chief executive.

“December was net positive,” said Vodafone Australia’s general manager of corporate affairs, Karina Keisler. “This, and a 37 per cent improvement in brand perception, are early signs of our turnaround success, and [are] ahead of expectations.”
