So, when is NBN rolled out? I need to plan to offload all my shares in MNF and any I hold in Telstra, Optus, and any other phone company as they are all going to crash due to this, right?

Besides, this proposed NBN FTTH rollout is still only in discussion stage and muted to cost about AU$30-$40Billion to roll out. Industry experts further state that it would be lucky to reach 80,000 households in the next 5 years! And what does it offer anyway? Faster interent, gee that will really help with phone calls as we all learn to speak much faster over this time. Don't expect this to be implemented and not taxed per $$ Gb as the Govt is offering to pay, right?

I think that most ISP's do not want to be a phone company, this is why most ISP's do not have VOIP now even though they could have had it for the last 5 years. Being a phone company is a much bigger hassle than simply providing broadband every month at a fixed price and having the occasional technical glitch. Phone accounts create lots of support calls, angry customers, etc.

VOIP via Wifi is a waste of time, poor coverage and range. Most mobiles now coming out with SIP clients, 3G & Wifi, Freshtel are not offering anything new here. You can download VOIP & Skype client software to any number of mobile phones for free from Fring, Nimbuzz, Gizo, etc. How areFreshtel going to make a profit of something that you can already get for free. And by the Way, MNF have a mobile/Wifi/3G solution, just search Nokia on their support page. I think it took them about 2-3 weeks to develop, what have Freshtel been spending all their time doing over the last 2 years?

No-one will have Sevens Wimax soon, even Seven don't know when/if they will have it. I do agree though that they would be a force to be reckoned with when they do have it all operating properly. But, it won't be here for ages and even when i is, it won't be for everyone.

Even if these purported technolgies do come to market, look to about 2-5 years before implementation, in the meantime MNF will continue on growing at 100% PA as they have done for the last 2 years. By my reckno9ng, they should be able to bank about $10M+ worth of profit before your doomsday scenario plays out.

Stock market daily SP lives in the here and now and thrives on ACTUAL future announcements with specifics but punishes poorly performing stocks. MNF is a A1 performer, ENG & FRE are massive loss making stocks.

Anyway, if we are talking about SP growth, MNF has not yet begun it's ascent, it is pretty much sitting around it's listing price and has not been extreme in highs and lows. ENG has plummeted from $1.20 and more recently 50c to it's present 2-3c levels. FRE has come down from 90c to a more recent 50c level to be at it's current 20c.

In summary, I say, forget whatever wishful thinking technologies are on their way and how they will impact VOIP companies and look at present financials and believable forecast growth, if you do then you will jump on MNF and buy as mnany as you can, MNF is heading north.
